Recycling your Toshiba laptop battery

In today’s world where environmental issues are at the forefront of everyone’s mind, recycling is probably at the top of most people’s agendas.

I’m not talking about aluminium cans or plastic bottles though. No, I am talking about laptop batteries. I had a Toshiba laptop battery I wanted to recycle, but wasn’t sure what to do.

In the end I took it to the computer store where I bought my new battery and they happily took it to send away for recycling. Unfortunately my local authority household waste site will only accept ordinary everyday batteries, so I have written to them to propose extending this to include laptops.
